Before you write to us

Wisteria has not launched yet. We’re still building it for iPhone and Android. This page is live now because it is where support will live, and because we would rather publish it early than late. The email addresses below work today.

How to get help

Two routes, both staffed by people. If you are already in the app, use the first one — it comes with the context we need to actually help.

In-app support chat

Open You → Support in the Wisteria app and start a conversation. This is the fastest route: it tells us your app version and device without you having to look either of them up, and it keeps the whole thread in one place.

Email us

Write to support@wisteriasocial.com. If you cannot get into your account, this is the route to use. Tell us the phone number on the account and what happens when you try.

What helps us help you

  • What you were trying to do, and what happened instead.
  • Your device and operating system version, and the app version if you can reach it.
  • A screenshot, if it is something you can see — but never a screenshot containing another member’s photo or message unless it is the thing you are reporting.
  • The phone number on your account, so we can find it.

We will never ask you for a password — Wisteria does not have any. We will never ask you to read us a one-time sign-in code, and we will never ask for payment details. If someone claiming to be Wisteria asks for any of those, it is not us. Tell us at safety@wisteriasocial.com.

Frequently asked

What is Wisteria?

A social platform for the ethically non-monogamous and lifestyle community. You build a profile, follow people and venues, read a chronological feed, message people, and — where a club has integrated with us — apply to join and get tickets to real events inside the app.

What makes it different: any grouping of people — a couple, a throuple, a wider polycule — can exist as a real profile with its own followers and its own conversations, visible only because every person in it individually agreed, and any one of them can withdraw that agreement at any time without collapsing anything for anyone else.

Is it a dating app?

No. Wisteria is a community platform. There is no swiping, no matching, no scoring, and nothing you can buy to get more attention. It is built for belonging — being seen, finding your people, and knowing who will be at the thing on Friday — rather than for transactional matching.

People meet people here, of course. But the product is designed around a social life, not around a queue of strangers.

Do I need to belong to a club?

No. Membership is open. Anyone in the community can create an account, build a profile, discover people and message — with no club affiliation and no identity check.

Belonging to a club that has integrated with Wisteria adds things: a club-verified marker, your club’s feed and events, and tickets inside the app. It is never a requirement.

What does verification do?

Verification is optional and it unlocks things — it is never required to use Wisteria. There are two markers:

  • ID-verified — you completed an identity document check with our verification provider.
  • Club-verified — a club that has integrated with Wisteria has confirmed you are an approved member.

Either marker unlocks mature content in direct messages and includes you in other members’ verified-only filters. It also lets you filter your own world down to verified people, which is a safety control we give you rather than a decision we make for you.

Most members will not be verified, and we will never claim otherwise. A marker means exactly what it says and nothing more: it is not a background check and not a character reference. We keep only the result and the date — not your document. See the Privacy Policy.

What does the subscription cost, and what does it include?

$15 per month. One tier, one price. It unlocks the feed (Home), discovery (Explore) and messaging.

Browsing clubs and events, and getting tickets, is free to every member whether or not they subscribe. There are no paid likes, no message limits, no boosts, no paid extras you have to keep buying and no ads — and every filter is included. There is nothing else to buy.

Paying never unlocks mature content. That is gated by verification and only by verification.

How do I cancel?

Through the store you bought it from. We cannot cancel a store subscription for you — Apple and Google control store billing, and they do not give us a way to do it on your behalf.

  • iPhone or iPad: Settings → tap your name → Subscriptions → Wisteria → Cancel Subscription.
  • Android: Google Play → your profile icon → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions → Wisteria → Cancel subscription.

Cancelling stops the next renewal. You keep access until the end of the period you have already paid for. Refunds are handled by Apple and Google under their own policies — we can help you make the request, but we cannot issue a store refund ourselves.

Deleting your Wisteria account does not cancel a store subscription. Do both.

How do tickets work?

Clubs that have integrated with Wisteria list their events in the app. You tap an event, see a real quote for your ticket — priced by the club, for you, at that moment — and pay without leaving the app.

Wisteria never touches club money. Payment goes from your device to the club’s own payment processor. We never see a card number. Your ticket appears under My Tickets with the exact line items the club charged, and you show its code at the door.

Because your agreement is with the club, refunds, cancellations and entry questions go to the club. We are happy to point you to the right person, but we cannot refund a ticket or overturn a door decision. Only clubs sell tickets — there is no resale or transfer between members.

How do I report someone?

Report and block work everywhere in the app — a profile, a post, a comment, a photo, a message or a chat request. Open the three dots on the thing itself and choose Report. Adding a note helps but is not required, and you do not need proof.

Reporting is private: the person you report is never told who reported them. You can block at the same time and you do not need to wait for an outcome.

Every report is read by a person within 24 hours. Automated systems only flag things for a human to read — they never ban anyone on their own. See how enforcement works.

How do I delete my account?

In the app: You → Settings → Delete account. You do not need to email us and we will not ask you why. If you would rather write to a person, send the request from the phone number on the account to privacy@wisteriasocial.com.

Deletion erases the personal and detaches the shared. Your identity, profile, photos, devices and sessions are erased. Things other people are part of — their copy of a shared conversation, their comments on your posts, the shared record of an event you both attended — stay, disconnected from you, because someone should not lose their side of a conversation because you left. Full detail in the Privacy Policy.

Remember to cancel your store subscription separately.

Is there a web version?

No. Wisteria is a native iOS and Android app. There is no web app, no browser login, and no web checkout of any kind — not for subscriptions and not for tickets. This site is a marketing and support site only.

If a website asks you to sign in to Wisteria or to pay Wisteria, it is not us. Please tell us at safety@wisteriasocial.com.

I am not receiving my sign-in code

Wisteria has no passwords — you sign in with a one-time code sent by text. If it does not arrive:

  1. Check that the number shown on the screen is the one you expect, including the country code.
  2. Check your phone’s filtered or blocked message folders.
  3. Wait a full minute before requesting another code; requesting several in a row can slow delivery down.
  4. Try again somewhere with better signal, or after toggling airplane mode.

Still nothing? Email support@wisteriasocial.com with the number and roughly when you tried, and we will check what happened to the text on our side. Never read a sign-in code aloud to anyone, including anyone claiming to be us.

I am changing my phone number

Your phone number is how you sign in, so change it in the app before you give the old number up: You → Settings → Phone number. Recycled numbers are handed out to other people, and an old number left on an account is a real risk.

If you have already lost access to the old number, write to support@wisteriasocial.com. We will need to establish that the account is yours before we change anything, and we would rather be slow about it than fast.

Report a safety concern

Reviewed by a person within 24 hours

safety@wisteriasocial.com

Use this address for anything urgent or serious: a member you believe is under 18, a threat, harassment that has not stopped, someone sharing another person’s intimate images, someone exposing another member’s identity, an account impersonating you or using your photos, or a scam.

If someone is in immediate danger, contact your local emergency services first. Then tell us, so we can act on the account.

You can also report anything from inside the app, anywhere you see it. Both routes reach the same people. Reports are read by humans, never actioned automatically, and the person you report is never told who reported them.

What we do with it

  • A person reviews the report and the content it points at, within 24 hours.
  • We may remove content, restrict a feature, suspend an account, or remove it permanently — matched to what actually happened and to any pattern behind it.
  • We report to law enforcement where the law requires it.
  • If you think we got a decision wrong, write to support@wisteriasocial.com and someone who did not make the original call will review it again.

Privacy and data requests

To access, correct, export or delete your information, or to ask a question about how we handle it, write to privacy@wisteriasocial.com from the address or phone number on your account. We acknowledge within 7 days and respond substantively within 30, or tell you if we need longer and why. There is no charge.

Account deletion does not require an email — it is a button in the app. See Your rights and choices for the full list of what you can ask for, including the specific rights that apply if you are in California, the EU or the UK.
